Who else remembers? For one glorious month in the Summer of '93, Family Dog aired in the US and Canada. By the time you got back from Summer vacation, it was all over and Danny Elfman would go back to his 20 other projects, while Director / Creator Brad Bird would go on to things like The Simpsons, The Incredibles, and being accused of injecting Randian Objectivism into pop culture.

Bands you'll never see live again

The premise is simple: what bands have you seen live that you will never be able to again because they no longer exist?
Mine is Soundgarden. Saw them once when they were touring with NIN. It was a good show though you could tell Cornell's bandmates were not thrilled with him.

You know the version that charted in the US (circa 1997):

But do you know the original by Anne Preven of Ednaswap (1995, but was performed as early as 1991):

And then there's the first released cover from Lis Sorensen in Danish (1993):

And as if that weren't enough, we have a 1996 version from Trine Rein that charted and is probably better known internationally than the Imbruglia cover:

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. I enjoy the occasional train, it's true.

Can't believe time traveling Roberta Flack covered The Fugees in 1973!

Then there's this version from Perry Como, oft attributed to Frank Sinatra, and at this point the Internet can't seem to agree about it (pretty sure it's Perry Como):

But wait, there's more! How about the original, by Lori Lieberman (1971 or '73, we're not sure):

When I hear this song, I think of The Fugees and "Killing Me Softly" (1996) or Coolio with "Gangsta's Paradise" (1995). Maybe even Shaggy with "Angel" (2000). I can't wrap my head around the fact that it debuted in 2003, 22 years ago now and in response to 9/11. And of course, it's also one of the Black Eyed Peas songs I liked, back before 2005's Humpgate, which was frankly unforgivable.

I'm just here to sing the praises of CasaOS: https://casaos.io/
I started using it with my home server after I rebuilt that, but I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice way to install various kinds of server apps.
It becomes even more powerful when you add third party stores to it. Right now I have like 600 apps to choose from. It can also run any docker image as long as you can fill in the details about how to set it up.
Truly a glorious tool.
