hellbot - gorzek - 02-02-2025
You might have noticed a new user named "hellbot". My intention was to use a plugin with this, but the plugin doesn't work, so... I'll be making my own bot functionality!
This will integrate with the roleplaying/economy stuff, too, so it's all of a piece.
I'll update here as things happen with it, though don't be surprised if you see hellbot-related posts in the not-too-distant-future.

Here's some stuff I'm thinking of having @hellbot do for us:
- Find news headlines of interest and make threads about them (or update relevant hellthreads.)
- Run roleplaying stuff here. (That would be limited to an appropriate forum.)
- Function as an AI chatbot. I don't know. This would be running off my own hardware, though!
- Handle some light moderation duties, maybe.
- Have it track and post about topics of interest (think protest events, data sets, etc.)
I'm willing to entertain suggestions, of course. I don't want a forum dominated by bot posts because that's ridiculous. But I do think it can be a good supplement to a lot of stuff around here.
