flipper zero - Abaddon - 01-23-2025 so I recently bought one of these to play around with. if you check it out, it's basically a "dumb person's" gadget that can do things people who make raspberry pis can do and the like. in other words, instead of going through the hoops trying to code some of these things, this device does it for you if you simply download something that someone made for it. for the most part, at least. there are some concerns about the things it is able to do, and it is actually banned on Amazon. so of course this is for educational and information purposes. I scanned one of my amiibos and emulated it in a game and it worked, so that's cool but that's about as far as I've fiddled around with it. I downloaded a bunch of apps people uploaded from the official "lab" site (lab dot flipper dot net slash apps) i'm particularly interested in its wi-fi capabilities, as i have the wi-fi dev board and I have heard it can do some pretty crazy things like boot everyone off a network? Some stuff is a tiny bit over my head as I was fiddling with it because some things sounded cool but didn't understand the practical application, such as emulating an HC-11 modem. RE: flipper zero - gorzek - 01-23-2025 oh sweet! i'd actually been thinking of getting one, myself. i keep seeing ads. it's more that i just don't know what i'd do with it besides play around. i already have an Amiibo emulation device, but it's cool to know you can do it with that, too. i did hear you can do wifi jamming with it, yeah. obviously that is illegal and for entertainment purposes only! let me know if you find any cool uses for it, might get me off the fence about getting one. RE: flipper zero - FrodoSwaggins - 01-24-2025 I'm waiting for Neal Stephenson to tell me what to do with it before I get one. |
