60 Minutes Edited Harris Interview

It's been a long 5 years... I mean, several weeks since Trump was elected dictator. Guys, I'm trying but I just can't follow this 60 Minutes, CBS thing.

Did CBS deceptively edit the Harris Interview? I mean if they did I don't think it's worth pulling their license and a 10 billion dollars payout. After all they practically had to prop Trump up with sticks and move his mouth during parts of his campaign. (On a side note, the creepy yellowish rich guy who was injecting his sons blood to "reverse aging" really needs to start mainlining whatever Trump is on because boy howdy they have cured aging and Trump is ON IT).

Unless they chopped up her sentences to mean things they didn't, or let her know the questions in advance, I don't see any impropriety here.

In a preview clip that aired on “Face the Nation,” Harris was shown saying that “the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”

During the actual “60 Minutes” program, in response to the same question, she was shown saying “we are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States, to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

As criticism mounted and Trump threatened to sue, CBS said it merely edited her answer for time, in accordance with television news standards.

But CBS essentially asked the public to take the network’s word for it, refusing to share the full transcript.

On the campaign trail Trump attacked the network repeatedly, charging that “they took the answer out in its entirety, threw it away, and they put another answer in.”

The transcript confirms that’s not true. CBS showed one part of her answer on Sunday and the other part of her answer on Monday.

So it's an absolute fucking nothingburger and the FCC is being weaponized by fascists.

Also while we're at it for goodness sakes, just publish the questions ahead of the interview. Why are we judging an entire presidential administration's ability to respond to crisis on the basis of how a single person responds when caught flat footed with a gotcha question in 2025?
