The National Institutes of Health have a great tool (for now) showing all of the funding that is currently frozen for research around the country. This includes millions of dollars to state colleges across New Jersey, supporting hundreds of jobs if not thousands, and an equally vital educational experience for the doctors and scientists of the next 10 to 20 years. Lifesaving experimental drugs which can be used to save the life of an elderly person who contracts a serious case of Covid, just to cherry pick an example, are wholly beholding to the NIH grant process.
