NIN is my all-time favorite. I love a lot of different bands/musicians but there aren't any that have stuck with me like NIN. Like a true stereotype, I first listened to them with any regularity when I was about 17, which is of course the age range most people decide that music was at its peak.
It has been weird watching Trent Reznor (and later Atticus Ross) go from just doing weird synthpop and industrial/goth music and now they're like... doing film soundtracks and winning Oscars and shit.
I think a Tony is the only thing they don't have yet? From the EGOT club.
Obviously, they need to write a musical now.
I'm going to see them live later this year for the third time? Fourth? I actually don't remember now. I'll have to check later. I don't want to talk about it what it costs. They are the only band I will make a point to see live, and I never regret it.
I don't know what I expect anyone else to say but if you've never paid attention to NIN, you've been missing out.
