Where is the love?
When I hear this song, I think of The Fugees and "Killing Me Softly" (1996) or Coolio with "Gangsta's Paradise" (1995). Maybe even Shaggy with "Angel" (2000). I can't wrap my head around the fact that it debuted in 2003, 22 years ago now and in response to 9/11. And of course, it's also one of the Black Eyed Peas songs I liked, back before 2005's Humpgate, which was frankly unforgivable.
I'll forgive the BEP for Humpgate in light of the rest.
Thinking about stuff that's kinda the opposite end of that spectrum:

What you may not have known is that Boots Riley--you know, the guy who makes movies nowadays--founded The Coup and fought really hard to keep that cover.
