In 1990, the NES game Silver Surfer hit shelves with an absolutely throbbing chiptunes soundtrack which was arguably the best part of a pretty decent game. Remember folks, this was chiptunes, tunes from a chip, courtesy of digital samples. We're not talking Roland tech here. In 1990, we were 9 years out from The Matrix and it's "Clubbed to Death" techno hit soundtrack, we were still 8 years out from the PS1's Need for Speed III with its amazing techno soundtrack.
