I think the comic probably resonates with far too many people. My parents were always quick to advocate against racism and bigotry, but then complain about how "dark" a neighborhood had gotten, or you know, that "criminal element" the news is always talking about. Now of course they vote full twisty cross along with much of America and don't see the hypocrisy at all.
