Sam wasn't homeless, he went to NY to visit his girlfriend (whom he met online.) It seems very much like a situation where someone was lured into danger because he trusted the wrong person. Just horrible.
 We do live in a society that encourages hate, and normalizes hatred toward specific groups of people. That has to stop. There's just no future if that continues. This country and this world will self-immolate.
