After a long time not playing any Skyrim, I decided to do a new run.

I'm a Khajit mage. I have completely ignored the main quest. Just beelined straight to Winterhold and joined the college, and now I'm the Arch-Mage. I'd never done the Magnus quest before, so that was fun. I do appreciate that they have so many completely irrelevant quests in these games. I'm not sure I'll ever do the main quest, we'll see.

I have a large bounty on my head for Whiterun because I accidentally thwacked some guards who were fighting bandits. Guess I shouldn't show my face there!

This is one of those games that's so dangerous to my life. "Just a few more minutes..." *6 hours later* "Fuck!"

It's been that way since Morrowind, for me. These games should be illegal.

Anyway, one day they will do a new Elder Scrolls game but I dunno if I will live long enough! Or it'll be a stinker, like Starfield (womp womp.)

They were gonna use this as the soundtrack to The Last Unicorn sequel, but it was so cool the unicorns kept exploding so they had to scrap it

I'm old enough to remember a number of theme park rides that were little more a 30ft projected video wall and a theater full of seats with a subwoofer in the chair. Nowadays, I've got too many commitments and too little money to drop a couple hundred dollars on a theme park trip very often. What I do have is a dark room and a projector, which made for a great virtual escape during the covid lockdowns.

If you really want to go overboard, you can consider installing FFmpeg and using it to deshake some of the really awesome fan ride-through videos that are available. You might also benefit from the Windows cmd front-end, FFMENU, which works with FFmpeg and has deshake right on the menu in the screenshot.

I think in time more robust profiles would be great and might cover some of this (haven't found anything yet), but right now being able to do status updates is a cool social aspect.
