DOGE was laying people off at the Department of Energy whose job it was to maintain our nuclear stockpile, which resulted in frantic calls from bosses that led to a pause in the layoffs.
These are people who make sure our nuclear weapons don't, like, accidentally blow up or land in the hands of bad guys.
